Always having condoms on hand—and sharing them—shows that you're not just thinking about your own safety, but everyone else's too.
It avoids becoming stressed or killing the mood by having to look for protection. And wanting to protect others is a beautiful sign of generosity.
Tip #1
Offering your friends a round of condoms is more than just a kind gesture; it’s a way of acknowledging that not everyone can freely carry them around—whether that’s due to family, cultural, or even financial circumstances.
Maybe some of your friends are too embarrassed to buy their own.
Do you have a few extra lying around in your bag? Give them to your friends at a party or after class. It’s a fun way to show everyone around you how much you care about their well-being!
Tip #2
Passing around condoms doesn’t have to be a big deal. You can simply leave a few in a small box at home, slip some into a bowl in the bathroom with a “help yourself” sign, or even offer them to your friends as though you were sharing a pack of gum or mints.
Talk about it lightheartedly, saying things like “I have a small supply of condoms. If you want some, help yourself!”
The idea is to show how normal condom use is, and that we can talk about it without taboos. The more open we are about it, the more comfortable it is for those around us.

Tip #3
Protection isn't just for anal or vaginal penetration.
To reduce the risk of transmission during oral sex, you can use a dental dam: a square piece of latex that is placed over the vulva or anus to cover them before you stimulate them with your mouth.
Dental dams can be found at specialty stores, at some student associations, at the nurse’s office, or—if this service is available at your institution—the sexologist's office.
